  • Rodger Foster, DVM

    Practice Owner, Retired
Retired February 28, 2013 but still active owner of Southington Veterinary Associates. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. Dr. Rodger E. Foster, a 1984 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine--moved to CT to pursue his dream of owning his own practice.  In 1985 he joined Old Canal and eventually bought out the small practice located on Darling St.  Since that time Dr. Foster has made many changes to the outside of the practice but the heart of the clinic remains the same.  His easygoing manner and quality medicine have kept clients coming back year after year from as far away as Florida.

Dr. Foster hand-picked his Associates currently operating SVA.  He wanted the practice to maintain the same high standards in quality medical care, compassionate care and fair pricing he has always offered.

His retirement consists of managing a menagerie of pets at home with his wife Sherry.  He is looking forward to starting a farm down South and enjoying his days of retirement with occasional trips back home to check on the practice.
